Adam W. Snyder, AIA
Principal | New York, NY

Adam’s hands-on approach to project management ensures a successful client experience during every phase of the project. With over twenty years working on both project management and the design aspect of architecture and interior projects, Adam’s knowledge and experience brings a heightened level of professionalism to the firm. Maintaining an optimum schedule for each project and delivering it on time and on budget, Adam facilitates the inherent organic process of teamwork, both inside and outside the firm.

His day-to-day coordination and collaboration with ENV staff, client team, and contractors in the field enables a monitored flow of information that results in consistency, quality, and attention to detail. With such clients as Coach, Calvin Klein, and The Corcoran Group, the size of projects may range from large to small, yet the goal for each remains the same; to deliver a beautiful space that is optimum for the client’s needs.

Annie Lee, IIDA, LEED AP ID+C
Principal/Interior Design | New York, NY

Talking to Annie about Interior Design, you will witness joy in its purest form. Her enthusiasm is infectious, and it is impossible not to mirror her bright eyed, wide smile as she recounts how a client clasped her hand in gratitude and thanked her for designing an environment which directly led to communication barriers being torn down. That is the magic of Annie. It’s not just her charm, keen sense of style, or innovative ideas; (though she has all those in spades) it is the care that she pours into each project, down to the last detail, and her excitement for the space to positively affect real day-to-day change. Annie has created many works of beauty, but it is the human connection in design she finds most fulfilling. You can feel the passion for what she does in every word she speaks. Annie began her career as a fashion buyer, not exactly a typical route to architecture, and this experience provided her with a rare perspective on design – from her approach of “dressing” a room or building, to her openness to mixing colors and patterns, to her ability to think simultaneously about multiple projects. She is very environmentally conscious and as a LEED AP, makes sustainability a priority.

In her free time, Annie never really stops thinking about work .. whether it’s solving design problems at sunrise or finding color inspirations when scuba diving. She enjoys traveling but is hard pressed to name a favorite place, as to her, they are like favorite outfits – you appreciate them for different reasons.

Brenda Paganelli
Controller | Los Angeles, CA

While Brenda Paganelli has never lived anywhere but in Los Angeles, she does like to travel. Although she’s far from done exploring the world, to date her favorite island is Cozumel, and her favorite city is Prague. The most influential person in her life is her mother and, now that Brenda’s a mother too, she finds that their relationship is closer than ever.

Brenda keeps busy on her time off with family hikes along the Santa Monica mountains, yoga and gardening. When it comes to food, her favorite types of cuisine are Japanese and French. For dessert? How about profiteroles stuffed with vanilla ice cream & chocolate sauce! If Brenda weren’t working in design, she would have liked to have a career as an art historian. Fortunately, she’s very satisfied with the vast opportunities and benefits at ENV like staying in the forefront of technology, ongoing training, workplace volunteer activities, pet friendly, and unquestionably the best parties with lots of cake throughout the year.

David Jon Rush, AIA
President, ENV NY | New York, NY

The secret to ENV’s continued success, according to David Rush, is to have the design team imagine an approach for each project that synthesizes both visual creativity as well as personal responsibility. Each project ENV completes has its own individual and functional imprint; all the many design elements relate to one another in a given project without anything overshadowing its counterpart. That is all done intentionally.

As president of the New York Office, David’s easy going and informal personality has the uncanny ability to carefully yet casually uncover the cultural DNA for each project. David listens closely as he guides both clients and the office through the design process; the collaboration results in both sides learning about each other and getting smarter together. With such clients as HarperCollins, Year Up, Smartling, and Comcast, David’s prestigious and diverse portfolio provides a glimpse into the firm’s attention to detail and level of service.

Francis Wong
Production/CAD Manager | Los Angeles, CA

Growing up in fast-paced Hong Kong, Francis Wong started his architectural career at one of the most prestigious architectural firms there – Eric Cumine Associates. So he had many opportunities to interact with people of various cultural backgrounds.

Besides his passion for architecture, Francis enjoys cycling, music, photography and watching musicals with his wife. Another important aspect in Francis’ life is his church, where he is actively involved. In fact, he currently serves as the treasurer. He also helps lead the worship music from time to time and finds time each and every day to read from his favorite book, The Bible.

Francis starts each day off with his own prescriptive beverage – an entire ground lemon mixed with warm water, and he’s also an avid tea drinker. Some of his favorites are Darjeeling, Earl Grey, Jasmin, Matcha and Oolong. When it comes to desserts, he can resist all kinds of sweet temptations, except for ice cream. Francis insists he’s never met a banana split he didn’t like!

He enjoys working at ENV because of its family-oriented culture. He takes pride in the quality of work that the company delivers consistently and the integrity that ENV upholds.

Richard Korchien, AIA, A.S.I.D.
Principal | Los Angeles, CA

A Korean War veteran, Richard was hired by ENV straight out of the service in 1955. Raised in New York, one of his first jobs was designing the facility for Sabena Belgian Air Lines at Idlewild Airport in NYC. (That airport was later renamed the John F. Kennedy Airport in 1963.)

Richard maintained residences in both New York and Los Angeles for decades, commuting back and forth between coasts. In fact, he only just recently sold his NY apartment. Since his daughters both married California men (and he now has four California grandchildren), it made more sense to stay in California full-time with his wife of 60 years. He learned to snow ski in Vermont. But once he discovered the milder weather for skiing in Mammoth, CA, he was happy to leave the bitter cold slopes on the East Coast behind. When he was younger, Richard raced sailboats. Now he says it’s “better to have friends with boats.” In his spare time, Richard enjoys reading historical biographies.

Stephanie Boldon, NCIDQ
Associate, Project Director | Los Angeles, CA

While she’s traveled the world to exotic places like Thailand, Israel and Croatia, Stephanie Boldon was born and raised right here in Southern California. And as a native Californian, Stephanie loves to stay physically active. You might find her hiking in Mammoth Lakes, or attending a fast-paced cardio class in the Valley with one of her two favorite teachers – the siblings of famed Tae Bo founder, Billy Blanks.

But Stephanie likes her quiet time too. She enjoys the mental stimulation of working crossword and Sudoku puzzles. Or she might cuddle with her cats, Cinnamon Toast and Finn while watching the Lakers. Stephanie admits her musical tastes have expanded from high school when she was into The Clash and The Ramones. (She even sported a colored Mohawk for a short period of time.) But today she enjoys a different musical vibe, like the rock band Muse. Stephanie can be complicated – and a bit of a rebel when it comes to a serious subject though. Like ice cream. She goes for the unexpected flavor every time – Salted Carmel.
