Julia Monaco
Intern | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Julia has been interning at ENV since the fall of 2013, and is currently working towards her B.Arch at New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT).  Julia is also a part of NJIT’s improv comedy troupe, and performs in monthly shows on campus.

Kurt Otto
Principal | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Kurt has over 20 years of experience in Architectural Design & Construction. He received his Bachelors of Architecture Degree from Pratt Institute, Brooklyn, New York. Kurt’s role at ENV, is heading up the Residential Design and Business Development divisions.

After graduating Pratt, Kurt joined a premier New Jersey Architecture firm where he became the lead designer in Residential Architecture, Project Management and Business Development.
Over the years, Kurt has created a substantial portfolio of beautiful homes and buildings which continues to build his insatiable passion, for his timeless designs.

Kurt enjoys spending quality time with his wife and twin children, training Renzo Gracie Brazilian jiu-jitsu, and playing golf.

Lucas Koch
Architectural Designer | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Lucas graduated from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) with a Bachelor of Architecture and a minor in environmental studies and sustainability. At school Lucas was a student in the Albert Dorman Honors College which helped him further develop his educational goals by pushing him to excel in various levels of school work. Lucas has been with ENV since 2011 as an intern and recently joined full time in May 2017 as an Architectural Designer working on academic, residential, and commercial projects. He plans to begin studying for the Architectural Registration Exam in the near future with continued plans to become LEED and Passive House Certified.

In his spare time he enjoys operating and maintaining a public garden railway (LBI Railway) and working on his Dodge Challenger.

Marcel Jaloveckas
Senior Job Captain | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Marcel has a five-year degree in Architecture from the City College of New York. Marcel has experience in a variety of projects from large scale to small scale. Project experience includes renovations to museums, renovation, and addition to high-end residential and multiple high-end retail stores in locations around the US.

In his free time, Marcel enjoys woodworking, cooking, and spending time with friends and family.

Marco Erdenberger
Architectural Designer | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Marco is currently a student at NJIT where he is pursuing his bachelor in architecture. His love for design as a whole is not only expressed through architecture but has translated into his free time by practicing photography, digital and industrial design. Catch Marco on the weekend in NYC at a cafe doing work, or strolling through art exhibits.

Maria Pereira
Associate Principal | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Maria holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and has over 20 years of experience in the design, construction, and renovation of educational, religious, and municipal facilities. Maria has experience in the rehabilitation of existing facilities, including historic educational, municipal and religious buildings. She has extensive experience in surveying of existing conditions as well as conducting conditions assessment surveys. At ENV, Maria has been responsible for compiling Conditions Assessment Reports, project planning and implementing the corresponding renovation and rehabilitation facility upgrades and new construction projects from design through construction.

Mark Giessen, AIA, LEED AP
Associate Principal | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Mark holds a Bachelor of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology and offers more than 13 years of experience. At ENV, Mark is responsible for project management, client contact, design, document coordination and construction administration. He has been involved in a variety of projects in the academic, hospitality, retail, residential and municipal sectors. Mark is instrumental in the company’s sustainability efforts, having led the project teams for numerous LEED projects including NY Foundling- Mott Haven Charter School and the Delaware Travel Plaza.

Maryana Sverdlova
Controller | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Maryana has over 30 years of Accounting and Financial Management experience. She holds degrees in Economics and Accounting from Odessa’s University of National Economy in Ukraine. Maryana has been working in the A/I/E industry since 1997 and is responsible for all financial and human resources activities.

Michael Mase, LEED AP
Associate Principal | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Michael has over 25 years of experience managing many large commercial interiors projects for major clients including AT&T, Bank of New York, Related Properties Corporation and the New York Power Authority. Michael has extensive knowledge of the Building Codes for the tri-state area along with all accessibility requirements including the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA), The Fair Housing Act and ICC/ANSI. Michael has done Third Party Building Code/Life Safety and Accessibility Compliance reviews for many major residential developers including AvalonBay Communities, Inc., Eakin/Youngentob Associates and Marriott.

Noah Adler, AIA, NCARB
Project Manager | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Noah is thrilled to be fulfilling his life-long dream of being an architect.  A Registered Architect in New Jersey and New York, Noah brings with him a passion for building design and construction that began at an early childhood age, continued through his educational years that earned him a Bachelor of Architecture degree from Carnegie Mellon University, and presently with over 12 years of professional experience under his (tool) belt.  Noah has been with ENV for almost 3 years focusing on high-end residential projects, but also has vast experience on hospitality, retail, and medical projects.

Outside of the office, Noah loves spending time with his wife and two young children, traveling, and enjoys photography, eating, sleeping, and breathing.

Paul Farnan, AIA, NCARB
Assistant Project Manager | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Paul received his Bachelor of Architecture degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2013. He then obtained his Master of Infrastructure Planning degree from the university in the following spring of 2014. At the onset of his professional career, Paul gained ample experience in Historic Preservation, having contributed to the rehabilitation of several buildings on both the National & New Jersey State Register of Historic Places. Paul went on to assist in managing a wide range of K-12 public education and higher education  projects, in which attention to detail during renovation work was critical. His experience has allowed him to develop an astute grasp on each project phase – including programming, schematic design, design development, construction documentation, and contract administration.  During his time with ENV, he has contributed to a variety of educational, hospitality, and workplace solutions projects.

While he’s not in the office, Paul enjoys hiking, photography, and playing music – drums, keys, and guitar.

Paul Suwada
Project Coordinator/Administrator | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Paul Suwada is a project coordinator in charge of administrating and keeping track of all projects old and new. He received his Bachelors in Business Management and Administration from Peter J. Tobin College of Business at St. John’s University. Born in Queens and raised in Brooklyn, Paul found himself exposed to various cultures throughout life, and a desire to fit in amidst their differences. Quickly becoming an adept in the fields of psychology and philosophy, Paul took his passions and sought a career that allowed him to practice his humanities.

In his spare time, Paul’s competitive and creative spirits take over as he dabbles in the arts, sports, video games and the written word. He enjoys spending his time with friends or strangers so long as they challenge his ways of thinking, or spark intellectual dialogue. He believes “Life is growth, and stagnation death”, and as such our thirst should never end.

Riddhi Chavda
Architectural Designer | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Riddhi received her Master’s degree from New Jersey Institute of Technology in 2016, with a focus in Sustainable Architecture. She joined team ENV in 2017 as an Architectural Designer.  She has previously worked in India before moving to US. Working in two different parts of the world, with different type of architectural practices, gives her a multicultural exposure towards design.  She further plans to become a LEED certified Architect.

Saeeol Lee, LEED Green Associate
Architectural Designer | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Saeeol received her Masters of Architecture at GSAPP Columbia University in 2017. She gained experience in Seoul, Tokyo, and New York where she specialized in digital fabrication and 3D modeling. At ENV, she is highly motivated to learn sustainable design strategy and construction management by closely working on the educational and community sector.

In her spare time, she enjoys walking the Hudson riverside listening to electronic music.

Samantha Blancato
Interior Designer/Assistant Job Captain | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Samantha graduated from the George Washington University with a Bachelors of Fine Arts in Interior Design with a minor in Fine Arts.  While in school, she received an honorable mention for placing within the top 10 students in the Steelcase NEXT Student Design Competition.  Samantha has been with ENV since August 2014, and has been involved in a variety of projects in the commercial, academic and hospitality sectors.

In her free time, Samantha enjoys art, fashion and puppies.

Savita Nayak, LEEP AP
Senior Job Captain | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Savita grew up in the dynamic city of Mumbai, India, surrounded by beautiful post-modern and Art Deco design. She graduated from the University of Mumbai with a Bachelors of Architecture. After a few years of working on residential projects in Mumbai, she moved to the United States to receive her Masters in Architecture from the University of California, Los Angeles. She has worked on multi-family residential projects, master planning and commerical projects in New York and Connecticut. Her interest in sustainability and green design led her to obtain her certification as a LEED AP. She is currently working on completing her Architectural Registration Exams.

She enjoys traveling the world, reading books and experiencing different cultures, and playing board games with her family. She volunteers with the Glen Rock school HSA and Junior Achievement USA.

Stephen McQueen
Job Captain | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Stephen joined ENV in the fall of 2014 and has over 30 plus years of experience working in the profession. Currently he is performing as Assistant Job Captain, producing contract documents for bidding and construction. Stephen is reponsible for the production of contract documents, construction details, consultant coordination, shop drawing review and coordination.

Valdemar Fracz, RA, NCARB
Project Manager | Englewood Cliffs, NJ

Valdemar received a bachelor degree in Architecture from New Jersey Institute of Technology. From early youth through his years of study at NJIT, Valdemar developed a strong interest and passion to art and architecture. At ENV, he demonstrates dedication and commitment to each individual project. As a leader of the design and production team, he plays an important role in all stages of project design and development. He has been involved in a variety of projects across the Hospitality sector.  Through years of practice and collaboration with world renowned chefs and leading international brands, he has developed the ability to understand the vision of our clients and implement a holistic solution through a balance of creative design and practical methods.
